随分と時間がかかりましたがようやく収穫できました。とてもおいしそうで、子どもも種まきから体験できて嬉しいようでした。

小さな菜園をはじめてからまだ2年半ほど。土がよくなっていくにはまだまだ時間がかかります。

映画「人生フルーツ」の中で、自宅に雑木林を作っていた津幡さんが、子供や孫に残してあげたいものの一つに土をあげていました。

僕は、どうしても手っ取り早くいい土にならないかなとせっせと堆肥や腐葉土を入れたりしていますが適切な循環がなければそれまでです。人の一生の時間軸で捉えがちですが、実際は長い月日がかかることなんだろうと思ったりします。

Harvesting carrots and time for the soil to grow fertile

Harvested carrots were sown with my son in September.It took a long time, but we finally harvested the carrots. The carrots have grown well and look delicious. My son also seems happy to have experienced it from sowing the seeds.

It has only been two and a half years since we started our kitchen garden. It still takes time for the soil to become fertile.

Mr Tsubata, who created a wooded area and kitchen garden at his home in the film Life Fruits, mentioned soil as one of the assets he wanted to pass on to his children and grandchildren.

I’ve been adding compost and humus to the soil to improve it. However, without proper circulation, the effects will be temporary. I think of it in terms of a person’s lifetime timeline, but it takes a long time.
